U.S. Imposes New Sanctions on Iran-Linked Network Spanning Asia and the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the United States government has imposed new sanctions to counter the destabilizing activities of Iran and its accomplices in Asia and the Middle East.

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control designated an illicit financial network of two Iranian facilitators, as well as individuals and entities based in Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

The network is accused of facilitating the sale of Iranian oil, with proceeds benefiting Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
