Adamawa Governor Grants Clemency to Six Prisoners Marking Nigeria’s 65th Anniversary

As part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has granted pardon to six inmates serving various sentences in correctional facilities across the state.

In a statement released to the press, the governor explained that the clemency was extended to inmates who had shown remarkable improvement in their behaviour and conduct while in custody.

Governor Fintiri stated that the gesture aligns with the spirit of national reflection and the government’s commitment to rehabilitation and reintegration of reformed individuals into society.
