Bandits Kill Five in Otukpo, Including Former PDP Assembly Candidate

Away from Oyo State, bandits have killed five persons including a House of Assembly candidate for Otukpo-Akpa State Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general election, Igbabe Ochi, in a fresh attack in Otukpo local government area of Benue State.
Local sources confirmed that the community has been singled out by suspected herdsmen for attacks, following the killing of 13 persons on April 15, 2025, and another attack that claimed three more lives in May 2025.
When contacted, the President of Otobi Community Development Association, John Anyebe, confirmed the attack, lamenting over the killing of his people. However, the Benue State Police Command is yet to react to the incident as of press time.
