FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DIRECTS FMBN AND GOVERNORS TO COLLABORATE ON HOUSING

The Federal Government has directed the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) to collaborate closely with state governors to develop viable and bankable housing projects focused on providing homeownership opportunities directly to citizens.

This directive was announced by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, during the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Day at the 19th Africa International Housing Show held in Abuja. The Minister was represented by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Mark Chieshe.

According to Dangiwa, the partnership aims to bridge the gap between federal housing policies and their execution at the state level, ensuring housing solutions reach the people more effectively.

This initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s earlier launch of the Renewed Hope State-by-State Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign, which aims to make affordable homeownership a reality nationwide.
