Artists Urge Government Support for Music as Tool for Job Creation and Wealth.

The music industry has been described as a significant driver of economic growth, emphasizing on the support of its investment to the sector.

Some prominent music artist made this known during an interview with Dominion News correspondents, where they emphasized the profitability of the industry to the country’s economy, if properly harnessed.

According to them, the music industry does not only benefit artists but also supports a wide range of professionals. They argued that the value chain makes music a viable platform for job creation and wealth generation.

The group further appealed to the Ministry of Arts and Culture, as well as other relevant government bodies, to promote the unification of all music genres in order to boost tourism, thereby adding to the Gross Domestic Product of the Nation.
