FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO CREATE 2 MILLION JOBS THROUGH AFFORDABLE HOUSING DRIVE

The Federal Government has announced plans to create over two million jobs nationwide through the Renewed Hope Social Housing Program, a key initiative aimed at reducing Nigeria’s housing deficit while creating economic opportunities for citizens.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, during a working session with the House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Habitat at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

Dangiwa described the Renewed Hope Social Housing Program as a major effort to provide accessible housing for low-income earners, vulnerable groups, the unemployed, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). He revealed that 100 housing units will be constructed in each of the 774 local government areas across the country.
