Flamingos Head to Morocco for Final U-17 Women’s World Cup Preparations

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, will travel to Morocco on Wednesday, October 8th, for the final phase of preparations ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The team, coached by Bankole Olowookore, has been camping in Abuja, where they have been fine-tuning strategies and building cohesion. Drawn in Group D, the Flamingos will face tough competition from Canada, France, and Samoa in the tournament.
In an impressive build-up, the team has played eight friendly matches, securing victory in all, scoring 26 goals and keeping a perfect defensive record with no goals conceded.
The final training camp in Morocco is expected to sharpen the team’s readiness for the global stage as they aim for a strong showing at the tournament.
