FORMER LEEDS UNITED AND TOTTENHAM MIDFIELDER TERRY YORATH DIES AT 75

Terry Yorath, the former Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, has died at the age of 75 following a brief illness.
His family announced the passing on Thursday, paying tribute to him: “To most, he was a revered footballing hero, but to us, he was Dad—a quiet, kind, and gentle man. Our hearts are broken, but we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with our brother, Daniel.”
Yorath made a significant impact during his nine-year spell with Leeds United in the 1960s and 70s, making nearly 200 appearances and playing a pivotal role in the club’s 1974 First Division title triumph. He also made history as the first Welsh player to feature in a European Cup final in 1975.
On the international stage, Yorath earned 59 caps for Wales and later contributed to the national team as a coach, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Welsh and British football.
