Ibadan Residents Urge Caution, Reject Mobile Use on the Road
A growing number of residents in Ibadan have expressed their commitment to avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving, citing safety concerns and the risk of accidents.
In a conversation with a Dominion News correspondent, Richard Asaolu, several residents highlighted that using a phone while driving can cause serious distractions.
They stressed that such distractions often lead to accidents, potentially resulting in the loss of lives and property. Some also noted that phone usage impairs a driver’s focus and concentration on the road.
The residents however call on motorists and road users to exercise caution by refraining from using phones while driving, reminding the public of the penalties enforced by traffic wardens and other relevant authorities for such violations.
Authorities continue to advocate for safe driving practices across the city as part of efforts to reduce road accidents and promote responsible behavior on the roads.
