Oyo APC Slams Makinde Government Over Social Event Tax, Demands Immediate Reversal.

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyo State chapter, has described the reported introduction of taxes payable by sponsors and organizers of social events to the state government as anti-people, ill-conceived, and unacceptable, calling on the Governor to order a reversal of the policy immediately.

This was disclosed in a statement issued and made available to the media in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare.

The Oyo APC lauded the federal government over the latest steps taken to retrieve some of its landed properties that have been hijacked and sold by the Makinde administration since 2019.
