Resident Doctors Begin Strike November 1, Demand Reinstatement of Sacked Colleagues

The President of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), Muhammed Suleiman, has confirmed the commencement of a comprehensive strike by the union on the first of November, two thousand and twenty-five, stressing that the strike is not only informed because of salaries, but also a fight for the reinstatement of its members who were unjustly dismissed.
Suleiman, who disclosed this in an interview, called on leaders in the country especially the president, Bola Tinubu, to cut through bureaucracy and have direct discussion with professional organizations to see how the problems can be solved.
He recounted the impact of mismanagement of the sector on doctors delivery, highlighting their demands to make practicing in the country convenient.
He however beckoned on the federal government to support the health sector as it has done to other sectors in the country.
