Akpoti-Uduaghan Barred from Senate as Suspension Dispute Heads to Court of Appeal.
The Senate has turned down Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s request to return to legislative duties, insisting that her six-month suspension is still in force until the Court of Appeal rules on her case.
In a letter signed by the Acting Clerk to the National Assembly, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, the Senate acknowledged receiving the senator’s notice that she planned to resume on September four, two thousand and twenty-five, which she said marked the end of her suspension.
However, the Senate pointed out that her suspension started on March six, two thousand and twenty-five, and added that the matter is questionable, since it is already before the Court of Appeal.
