Federal Government Takes Full Ownership of Jubilee Fellows Programme with $220m Investment.

The Federal Government has said it will invest two hundred and twenty million dollars in the next phase of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme, a youth employment scheme designed to connect graduates with structured work placements, mentorship, and sector-based training opportunities.

Vice President Kashim Shettima disclosed this during the formal flag-off of the scheme at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, and was revealed in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Information and Strategy, Stanley Nkwocha.

Shettima said that the programme will be embedded into the national planning and budgeting framework going forward to ensure its sustainability.

He praised the European Union and United Nations Development Programme for their support in the programme’s initial phase and reaffirmed the government’s intent to take full ownership of the expanded rollout.
