Education Minister Inspects Abuja TVET Centres, Highlights Impact on Employment Growth.
The Minister of Education, Doctor Tunji Alausa, has announced the Federal Government’s commitment to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a pathway for youth empowerment and job creation.
Doctor Alausa made this statement during a visit to selected TVET partner centers in Abuja, revealing that over one point three million applications were received within ten days of the program’s launch.
The inspection team visited partner centers where trainees are acquiring hands-on skills in various fields, including fashion design, baking, hospitality, livestock management, and crop production.
Doctor Alausa stated that renewed investment in technical and vocational education has contributed to reducing the unemployment rate to eighteen-point-five percent.
