FG Urges States to Take Over Power Generation and Distribution to End Energy Crisis.

The Federal Government has asked states to take over power generation, transmission, and distribution, declaring it was the only solution to the power crisis across the country.

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, said this in Lagos at the Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit.

Adelabu stated that the Federal Government was aware that power centralisation could never work for Nigeria, which is why President Bola Tinubu’s administration signed the Electricity Act in 2023.
