Nigerian Doctors Demand Better Pay, Working Conditions, and Health Budget Reforms.
Medical practitioners in Nigeria have called on government at all levels to address corruption, leakage of funds, and to provide better budget allocations for the health sector.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Lagos State chapter made this call while addressing newsmen in Lagos.
Reflecting on the working conditions of medical practitioners in Nigeria, NMA members discussed the state of healthcare delivery in the country and identified sustainable paths for improvement.
The media briefing also provided an opportunity to reiterate calls for improved remuneration and working conditions for healthcare professionals.They urged governments at all levels to prioritize their welfare to enhance the sector.
