INEC Confirms Incoming Chairman Amupitan to Be Sworn In Next Week.

The new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, is expected to officially assume office next week, ahead of the November 8th Anambra State governorship election.

Multiple officials at INEC stated that Amupitan is expected to be sworn in at the Federal Executive Council meeting, which should be held next week.

An INEC Director confirmed that while the exact date remains uncertain, as the swearing-in is imminent.
