Bauchi State Government is advocating for concerted efforts to address the impact of climate change on the environment.

The state government has urged leaders at all levels to formulate policies that will encourage industries and major polluters to adopt environmental protection technologies for a healthier society.

The appeal was made by the Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Danlami Kawule, during the official launch of the Climate Caravan in Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria.

Doctor Kenneth Akpan, Programme Manager of the Climate Justice Caravan, stated that a significant part of the world is suffering from the effects of climate change, and Bauchi is among the most affected states in Nigeria.
